Online Tendering and Ticketing are a highly authenticated process that need a lot of user information for a transaction. Digital Signature has made it easy and secure authentication process in a very short time-period.
In the present world of technologies, most of the process has been overtaken by the internet and computer. In this era of technologies our works have been made very easy, effortless, timeless and convenient to perform. While on the other hand various bad practices like a repudiation in the transaction has been started. To ensure the non-repudiation in the transaction an optimized method has been has been developed with the invention of Digital Signature. Digital Signature is the combination of encryption of information and trust key. It can only use by a Digital Signature Certificate holder. Digital Signature Certificate Contains a Private Key and Public Key. Private Key permits user to encode and decode the message while Public Key permits user to decode the message only. Hence Private Key is only used by the sender of message and public key is used by a receiver of the message. It builds a transparency, security, and non-repudiation with confidence in online transactions. It could be divided into 3 Classes on the basis of security level. These are Class 2, Class 3 and DGFT. Class 3 DSC is the most secured and authenticated type of DSC. Therefore, it is used in authentication of highly confidential transactions. Due to highly confidential business, e-tendering passes through a very high authentication process. Taking a part in any online tendering requires Signing In to the tendering website to authenticate yourself. Signing In and Signing Up to an e-Tendering websites can only be performed by the Digital Signature Certificate for e-Tendering i.e. Class 3. In some e-Tendering company Digital Signature Class 2 is also used for signing purpose. Class 3 DSC is enough for signing and encryption process, that's why it is mostly preferred by the e-Tendering company. All of us know about e-Ticket. It is an online ticket provided by the IRCTC websites. Any individual can get an e-ticket through online facility of IRCTC. To book a ticket an individual need to transact the amount using a secure transaction process at the time booking that makes some delay to confirm your identity. But an agent can get a ticket directly without paying the amount at the time of booking. This process permits an agent to get more ticket in a short period. To make a secure agent login an individual needs to get the license from IRCTC and a Digital Signature Certificate for e-ticketing. Digital Signature Class 3 is used in e-Ticketing.
